Scott City to Benzine, KS - mileage 67 head winds

Nice cool weather but 20 MPH head winds all day. What's up with that .... I thought prevailing wind blew west to east?

Early morning push into the wind. Dreux, Brian and Britney.

Every town, 10 miles or so has a grain elevator, some with a population most towns do not. From a distance, they look like skyscrapers.

You know you are in KS, a fallout shelter at our host home. This is our host for the night - Dan & Elaine. They have been hosting TA riders for about 9 years. Figures 850 guest have stayed over the years. Hot shower and Elaine did our laundry..... hear that Ramona 😳 Dan is up most mornings at 4:30 am to bale hay and countless other farm activities. Normally Elaine cooks dinner for the bikers but Dan cracked his head yesterday and needed 7 stitches. Cooking time was spent at the hospital.
